As a result, we’re taking active steps to better your patient experience
At Ocean Shores Medical Centre we carried out a patient survey (the Practice Accreditation and Improvement Survey) and asked for your honest opinions on the service we provide. We listened to your concerns and have taken the following actions in order to make improvements to patient care where you feel it would be most useful:

1. Better information on fees
Information about fees is displayed on website, signs in waiting room and on appointment reminder messages as well as on our patient information forms.
2. Ability to see the doctor of your choice
We are actively trying to recruit more GP’s and registered nurses. It has been difficult to retain GPs in a bulk billing environment. Some GPs have chosen to private bill in an effort to reduce burnout.
3. Have more appointments available
We are actively trying to recruit more GP’s and registered nurses.
4. You would like longer appointments
With limited GPs it is difficult to balance long appointments vs availability. This will improve with more GPs and private billing.
