Fees

Below is the billing policy of the tenant GPs servicing the OSMC. It is at the discretion of the individual doctors on how patients will be billed.

• Children <16 yrs
• DVA
• Concession Card Holders
• Chronic Disease Management Review – eligible to be bulk billed only when review is due (once every 3 months).*
• Mental Health Care Plans – eligible to be bulk billed only when review is due (once every 3 months).*
  *Ask your GP if you are due for a review of your chronic disease or mental health care plan to be eligible for a bulk billed consult. If you are not due for a review of a care plan standard fees apply.

Non-Concession

Telephone Consults

Standard consult is 6 minutes. Do not book a telephone consult if you do not have good mobile reception. If the GP is unable to contact you it will be considered as a no show and a fee of $30 will apply.

MyMedicare – Patients that register with MyMedicare one of the OSMC servicing GPs as their preferred GP will be eligible to receive higher rebates for telehealth consults.

• New Patients are not eligible for Medicare rebate for phone consultations.
• All patients must have a face to face consult at least once every 12 months to be eligible for telehealth Medicare rebate.
• It is at the doctors discretion if they choose to offer telephone consults and how they are billed.

Late Arrival, Missed Appointment and Cancellation Policy

We understand that delays can happen; however, we kindly ask that you arrive on time for your appointment. Patients who arrive more than 10 minutes past their scheduled time will be considered a missed appointment. Missed appointments may be subject to a fee and may require rescheduling.

If you do not cancel your appointment at least 60 minutes prior to your scheduled time and fail to attend, a fee of $30 will apply for standard consultations and $60 for extended consultations.

We will do our best to fit you in on the same day if possible; however, to avoid disappointment, please ensure you arrive promptly at your scheduled time.
